We have a wonderful playground near our house. This playground has some of his favorite activities, including picking up sticks, picking up rocks, picking up wood chips, going on the swings, and using the slide. When my parents were in town last week, we went there several times, and yesterday we went there with Connor's little buddy Brandon and their family. We always have a wonderful time. We have gone there a lot lately, because the weather has been so great, and even though it is about to get hotter, we will probably keep going during the summer too.

To Connor From Daddy
Connor, you are my son, and I want you to know how much I love you. I look at you every day and know that you are my whole life.
No matter what we are doing, the most important thing to me is to be with you. When I pick you up and look into your eyes, I feel a happiness like no other. You are growing up and getting bigger. Very soon you will be an older cousin. One day you will go to school and become an adult before I know it, but you'll always be my baby son.
I love you,
Daddy

Thank You
Today Connor woke up and handed me something. I told him "Xie Xie" (Thank you in Chinese). I have been trying to teach him to say thank you when he receives stuff. This morning, I heard for the first time "Xie Xie" after I said it. From my baby boy Connor. It was very clearly pronounced. Then after that, he told me he wanted to drink water. He's learning more and more words. Still single sound at a time. But there is my baby boy, telling me "Xie Xie"!!

On the Walking Thing
Connor was a late walker. Before Thanksgiving 2010, his choice of moving around is crawling. There are times we went to play ground where other kids younger and smaller than he was walked around him and there was Connor still crawling.
The week before Thanksgiving, one night, we were playing in our living room as usual. I put Connor down 3 steps in front of his Daddy. I put him feet down first. He normally would just sit down and crawl to Daddy. But that time, he took three steps and got to Daddy's hands. We couldn't believe it. Something clicked. Thanksgiving, we went to Ozark. He started walking more and more in that week's time. When we came back from Thanksgiving, he walks to places when he could. He'd walk from one place where he could hold on to something to the next.
Dec 2010, Connor got better and better at walking. He started off liking to raise his hands in the air to balance himself. Beginning of 2011, his hands comes down more and more.
Now he's a good little walker. He can claim. He walks everywhere.
Here is my little boy. Walking!

Update
Connor is 15 months old now. He can not quite walk or talk yet. However, he can hold on to things and walk around really well and he can say a few words "dada, mama, nana, gaga, mow-mow and coco" We met a couple of kids (a boy and a girl who are twins) at dim sum. They are 16 months old. Connor liked playing with them.
We went for his 15 month check up last week. He weights 26 lbs 10 oz (78%), 30 inches (18%), and 47.6cm head circ (63)%.
Today's day light savings time ending. Connor woke up early. He took 3 naps today. It's 8pm now and he's still napping. It may be a long night for mama and dada.
Here is a picture of connor playing on dada's stomach. Dada was breathing in and out to make his stomach go up and down. Connor was laughing hard and enjoyed playing with dada.

2 month pediatrician visit
It is official, Connor is now 2 months old! That's if you count from the day he was actually born, but if you count from the day he was supposed be born, then I guess he is one month old.
So, at 2 months old, it is time for the second pediatrician visit!
First, the stats... Connor is now 12 lbs 5 oz, 21.5 inches long, and 38.7 cm head circumfrence. That puts him in the 95th percentile for babies born at 35 weeks for weight, 80th percentile for length, and 92nd percentile for head circumfrence. As a matter of fact, he is at 75th percentile for weight for full term babies. Yay, Connor, you caught up!
The pediatrician told us that he is doing well, his neck is getting stronger, and he looks good. He has a little bit of acid reflux, so she prescribed us some antacids for that. We haven't been able to try them yet, because Wallgreens was out of stock. They also checked his jaundice level again, and it turns out he has a little bit left, but not much, and nothing to worry about at this point.
Now, the "aww poor baby" part. During the second month, they do a second round of immunizations for various things. As I mentioned before, they also had to check him for jaundice. I think he may be used to the jaundice test. Of course he cried. Well, maybe we are used to the jaundice test, but we had him calmed down pretty quick after that one.
But, the immunization shots are another thing entirely. We had him calmed down and laying on the table, because I knew that Ann wouldn't want to see him get the shots. They looked like fairly small needles, but of course they should be, because he is small. The nurse stuck the needle into his inner thigh. Connor got so mad that he couldn't even cry! His face turned red, his mouth opened, but nothing came out. I knew that he was very pissed off. There was a good 5-10 seconds that he was so mad, he opened his mouth and nothing came out. I told Ann while it was happening, and after that a nasty scream came out, but by that time the shot was over.

We managed to calm him down, and it was sad to see him like that at the time, but now it is almost funny to think that he got that mad. On the car ride on the way back, as to be expected, he fell asleep, and was fine when we got home. We have had a good weekend with him. It is always nice to be able to spend some time together.
